Biototals foundation was laid in 2006 and one of the original cornerstones is to listen to our customers and at the same time have lots of fun on our journey – These caracteristics permeate the company today.
In recent years, various by-products and residues have been disposed of and returned to around 20,000 ha of arable land. The total annual environmental benefit amounts to 300,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide reduction by replacing renewable nutrients by industrial production. 350 tonnes of phosphorus and soil substances have been returned to the fields.
We are an environmental company that is at the forefront of agronomic knowledge combined with practical thinking. Our role is not only to create a better environment, but also to provide our customers and suppliers with the best possible solutions, both practical and economical.
We work closely with our customers to understand all aspects of their business and to offer optimal tailored solutions for all parties.
We have two categories of customers, those who produce by-products and residues and those who use them Among the producers, we find operations in, for example, biogas production, process industry, steel industry, food industry and sewage treatment. These activities often have an excess of by-products and residues in their processes which are not part of their main final product.
The users of biological by-products and residues are mainly found in agriculture, where a large proportion of our products are used for fertilisation and soil improvement.
We also work with municipalities, who want to work upstream to get a cleaner water for receiving and cleaner sludge for arable land. Biototal offers flexible environmental support for municipalities that do not themselves have the resources to work upstream.
Common to our customers is that they are at the forefront of their respective industries and that they take responsibility for our environment.
We have our head office at Vreta Kluster just outside Linköping. In the cluster, we are located with other companies and organisations that work in agriculture and other green industries. Here we have many exciting contacts, exchanges and good cooperation.
