We offer a complete ”cover concept”, an upper enveloping green layer of vegetation when finishing a landfill or a mining operation where the raw materials are made up of selected by-products and residues that are successively processed into full-fledged vegetation layer.
We restore the land to what it once was, for example a meadow or forest.
We are experts in making it grow and restoring your land to its origin. Biototal has both high competence and great experience in creating green layers of vegetation that blend into the environment.
Learn moreRight now we are working hard to cover a large waste heap in Norberg. By 2026, the mould should have been transformed into a green bed area and blend into its surroundings.
As organic matter sinks, we cover in layers. First, we lay out soil, then we sow grass seeds so that the roots of the plants stabilise the mass and make it green. We repeat the process until the layer of vegetation is at least 60 centimetres deep.
We put biosolids from waste water treatment plants as a final cover material at Kallmorberget. By mixing in other materials, a good basis for disposal of biosolids is created. This means that the final cover material content of different substances shall not exceed the Swedish Environmental Protection Agency's target values for less sensitive soil, MKM, which is the official requirement for the final coverage on Kallmorberget.
